John Hagen oversees business development for the firm, leads his industry sectors’ executive recruitment and heads the Business, Human Resources and Culture Consulting Practice. John has overseen the culture transformation, reorganization and restructuring of $BBillion brands, 5 IPOs, 40+ M&As, 8 Public to Private transitions in the U.S., Canada, the Americas, EU and Asia/Asia-Pacific as COO, CMO, CAO and CPO. His training programs along with contributions to HR.com, Talent Management, Chief Learning Officer, Workforce Magazines, his blog and LinkedIn are timely, visionary and solidly business based. John is recognized as a Culture, Human Resources, Employee and Labor Relations, Talent and Organizational Strategy and Organizational Development authority.
With over 30 Years of high-level engagement he leads executive recruitment for Retail (Start-up, Brick and Mortar, e-, Holding, Development, Conglomerate); Human Resources/Culture/Talent/Acquisition; VC / PE & Banking Investment and Development; Warehousing, Shipping/Logistics/Fulfillment/Transportation; Manufacturing (apparel, consumer goods, decor, electronics, high-tech, industrial – durable and non-durable; Real Estate Development Management and Business Services industry segments. He has headed high-level consulting programs to industry and the highly confidential recruitment of hundreds of C-level, divisional, regional leaders supporting the various industries within his corporate and company operations. He has partnered with U.S., Canadian, LATAM, EU and Asian brands in critical external executive search assessments for VP levels executives and above. Confidentiality, honesty, integrity, innovation, humor and a laser like sense of cultural match are the hallmarks of his work.
John is a life-long resident of the Pacific Northwest and began his HR career with Nordstrom in Seattle, WA. He currently sits on the Pension Research Council at the Wharton School and the Business Intelligence Board for Chief Learning Officers and Magazine. He attained a Bachelors in Chemistry and History and an MILR equivalent from Uof W/USC/UCLA/University of Hawaii; holds CTP, TT, CHRE, HRMS, PHR, PeopleSoft, Oracle, Ceridian, LEAN, Six Sigma and SAP certifications and is a Certified Process, Work Flow Engineer and Management Systems Analyst.

Catherine Pierce leads executive level searches and business development for the firm. She has over 30 years of diverse business management and management consulting with organizations ranging from start-ups and non-profits to multi-national corporations. Catherine found her passion as a talent search industry consultant with the top boutique firm in Southern California and later joined Heidrick & Struggles Executive Search which specializes in the placement of senior executives across Fortune 1000 industry sectors.
Recruited to Hong Kong in 2001, she successfully led in US, Asia-Pacific, and ASEAN multinational client searches for “Best in Class” senior level executive talent. Her industry expertise included consumer goods (retail & manufacturing), biotechnology, life & health sciences, pharmaceutical and medical devices, financial services, management consulting, Big 5 Accounting firms, banking, and technology, hospitality, luxury goods and oil & gas. She has served major global conglomerates and developed a solid client reputation with Asia regional and national clients including venture capital companies.
Catherine’s China residency, cultural exposer and business savvy in the Asia-Pacific Region, combined with the ability to understand key demands for talent who can work effectively in diverse cultures, enables her to identify individuals capable of executing strategic growth initiatives in and across the US, Asia Pacific, ASEAN and soon the Trans Pacific Partnership regions.
